RavenRock was founded by Jason Mackey and Yuri Cataldo, investors and operators with complementary backgrounds in defense, industrial technology, and AI infrastructure. Jason spent 15 years working at the intersection of technology and national security, with early investments in several of the defining AI companies of the past decade. Yuri holds an MIT MBA and brings deep expertise in construction, manufacturing, and robotics from years leading research programs that evaluated hundreds of industrial technology startups.

Together, they launched RavenRock with a clear conviction: America's strategic infrastructure — defense systems, power grids, autonomous platforms, manufacturing — is being rebuilt with AI as the core operating logic. The companies building these systems will define the next era of American industry. From its headquarters in Somerville, Massachusetts RavenRock backs early-stage founders building dual-use AI infrastructure in sectors where complexity creates moats and urgency creates opportunity.

The fund is named after Raven Rock, the underground Pentagon on the Maryland-Pennsylvania border, built to maintain command authority in times of crisis.
